Distributed TDMA for Mobile UWB Network Localization

چکیده

Many applications related to the Internet of Things, such as tracking people or objects, robotics, and monitoring require localization large networks devices in dynamic, GPS-denied environments. Ultrawideband (UWB) technology is a common choice because its precise ranging capability. However, allowing access effective use shared UWB medium with constantly changing set faces some particular challenges: high frequency measurements by improve system accuracy; network topology changes requiring rapid adaptation; decentralized operation avoid single points failure. In this article, we propose novel time-division multiple (TDMA) algorithm that can quickly schedule without collisions local neighborhoods avoiding conflicts hidden terminals, all while maximizing usage. Using exclusively radio network, realize for synchronization, dynamic TDMA scheduling, relative positioning on multihop network. Our does not have special nodes (all are equal) it sufficiently scalable real-world applications. method be applied implement device services spaces GPS complex topologies, malls, museums, mines, etc. We demonstrate our simulation real hardware an underground parking lot, showing effectiveness localization.

Cooperative Distributed Sensors for Mobile Robot Localization

This paper presents a probabilistic algorithm to collaborate distributed sensors for mobile robot localization. It uses a sample-based version of Markov localization—Monte Carlo Localization (MCL), capable of localizing mobile robots in an any-time fashion. During robot localization given a known environment model, MCL method is employed to update robot’s belief whichever information (positive ...

Distributed dynamic channel assignment in TDMA mobile communication systems

Dynamic channel assignment (DCA) has been a topic of intense research for many years, and a variety of DCA algorithms have been proposed. Nonetheless, some important issues have been neglected because of the complexity involved in their study. In particular, the impact of user motion on the performance of DCA systems has not received enough attention. In this paper, we quantify the impact of mo...

Distributed, Confidence-based Localization for Mobile Sdrs

Traditional multilateration is extended in this work to account for uncertainty in the location of ranging nodes, and used to localize an ad hoc network of mobile SDRs. The technique is first described and then demonstrated in a simulation study. Simulation results show that network localization time is reduced substantially using this technique over conventional multilateration.
